Suzi Lewis-Barned was born in Tunbridge Wells and spent her early childhood in Tanzania where her father was working. She grew up near Oxford and after graduating in Communications she worked as a TV researcher for the BBC, HTV and Channel 4 on a wide variety of radio and television productions, many of them for children. She also worked as a feature writer for the Bristol Evening Post and the Radio Times. Since moving to West Sussex in 1990 Suzi has worked as a freelance writer, researcher and scriptwriter. Her work has included writing children’s pages for various publications, video scriptwriting, and working within corporate communications. This is her first children’s book. She is married to David and they have three children – Oliver, Emily and Henry – who helped to choose these stories.
