Diz Wallis studied sculpture at the Central School of Art and Design in London and began her career in commercial illustration in 1979. In 1989 she began to concentrate on children’s book illustration and started work on her first picture book SOMETHING NASTY IN THE CABBAGES. Since then she has illustrated many books for children to much critical acclaim. Diz has one beautiful daughter and says that she doesn’t really have any hobbies as such but that she is interested in almost anything which is fun or funny and that she loves live music and will dance till dawn whenever the opportunity arises.
